Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair restoration

Platelet-Rich Plasma, also known as PRP, is a high concentration of one’s own platelets in a small volume of plasma that contains various growth factors. During the procedure, a small amount of blood is drawn from the arm and put in a centrifuge to separate and isolate platelet blood cells.  For patients who are experiencing premature hair loss or thinning hair, injection of PRP into the scalp can reactivate hair follicles that have become inactive, producing regrowth and thickening of normal hair.
